Chinemelum Nmesoma Umealajekwu is the founder of Outershield Security and the lead researcher behind the CLOSO framework for AI-assisted security operations, peer-reviewed in IRE Journals and cited in ACM Transactions on Internet Technology. She is a member of Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) and holds certifications including CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA CySA+, alongside hands-on SOC training through LetsDefend. Her research is published under the name Chinemelum Umealajekwu.
The Outershield Mission
Outershield was founded on a straightforward observation: the organizations most frequently targeted by ransomware, nation-state actors, and cybercriminals are often the least equipped to defend themselves.
Small hospitals, municipal utilities, regional financial institutions, and local governments collectively form the backbone of American critical infrastructure, yet most operate without a single dedicated security professional.
Outershield exists to change that.
